About this Event
Participants will learn how to craft a compelling personal statement that sets them apart. A personal statement is used for job applicants to communicate their story and goals and can be required for admissions processes to various programs or when applying to scholarships and other opportunities. During this Arch Ready program, participants will learn to:
1. Understand the different types of personal statements and how they are used in the application and admissions processes.
2. Identify common mistakes to avoid and reflective questions to aid in the writing process.
3. Select salient aspects of their story and communicate them to write an effective personal statement.
Alumni are welcome to attend any Arch Ready event. All registration is handled via Handshake. Those who have not yet created an alumni Handshake account should complete the form here. Please allow two business days for the account to be created.
