Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects are typically described as having five main phases or steps: identifying a research question, designing the study, collecting data, analyzing data and drawing conclusions, and sharing results. In this workshop, attendees will explore a brief overview of those phases and will then focus the remaining time on the first two. Participants will have the opportunity to develop a research idea/question and to discuss considerations in study design. Instructors will discuss methods for completing a literature search. The workshop will conclude with guidance for next steps and help resources.
