DESCRIPTION:It's a perennial question for instructors: How can I get studen
 ts to read? This workshop will present findings from a survey of almost 300
  undergraduate students at UGA that asked them why they did or did not read
  for class. Instructors will share the students' responses\, including the 
 reasons given most frequently for reading and for not reading\, and the gro
 up will discuss ways that teachers at UGA can increase the chances that stu
 dents will do the reading for their class.
