UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant is accepting applications for the What’s the Hook? Seafood pitch competition, designed to generate innovative ideas that support Georgia’s working waterfronts and seafood products. The effort will help offset some of the impacts of COVID-19 on the state’s local seafood industry. 

Any business or non-profit is eligible to submit a pitch for the competition. The idea should support one or all of the following topics:

• Promoting Georgia’s unique coastal seafoodrelated experiences.
• Building the resiliency of Georgia’s working waterfronts.
• Strengthening Georgia’s local seafood and tourism-related industries.
• Assisting businesses with redefining their operations or business models in response to the pandemic.
