View map Free EventTake a walk down memory lane this Mother’s Day with the OLLI@UGA Writing Memoir Special Interest Group annual community reading. Voices from the Past features 10 members of the OLLI@UGA group reading humorous, poignant and insightful stories about family, childhood, marriage, aging, life and death. Admission is free to this popular event.
The writing group is part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Georgia, an organization providing educational and social activities for adults ages 50 and over. The reading is jointly sponsored by the Athens Regional Library.
All ages are invited. Copies of the annual anthology of stories from the group will be available for purchase.
