UGA Army ROTC is proud to host the 20th Annual Army ROTC Memorial 5K. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. at the E23 College Station Park and Ride Lot. Registration is now open through March 18 at https://www.active.com/athens-ga/running/distance-running-races/uga-army-rotc-bulldog-battalion-memorial-5k-2026.  All participants that register before March 1st will receive a race day T-shirt. Those interested in sponsoring the 5k, please reach out to armyrotc@uga.edu for a sponsorship packet and additional information.

Each year, Army ROTC, takes a moment to honor the memory of LT Ashley Henderson-Huff, LT Noah Harris, and CPL Joshua Reeves. This event serves as a remembrance to our fallen heroes as well as a celebration of the courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to our nation.  This year, a part of the proceeds will be donated to the Ashley Henderson-Huff Memorial Scholarship for Courage and Patriotism sponsored by her sorority, Sigma Kappa.

In addition to the race activities, we will be joined by a few adoptable animals from the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. MOAS is a non-profit organization focused on saving as many pets as possible while reducing the unwanted pet population through low-cost spay and neuter clinics. MOAS is successful in their efforts due to donations from supporters. Feel free to bring a donation to the 5K (cleaning supplies, kitty litter, dog/cat/puppy/kitten food, trash bags, laundry detergent, etc.). Current adoptable pets can be viewed at https://www.moaspets.com/adoptionapp.

Come for remembrance, stay for the race, take home a new best friend.
