About this Event
View mapDescription: How does one know if an innovative idea lends itself more to a for-profit or nonprofit organization? Many people who reach out to UGA’s Innovation District have entrepreneurial ideas that would offer tremendous community benefit and would likely be more successful as a 501c3 social startup. But what does that actually mean? During this session, a panel of community nonprofit experts will offer their tips and knowledge of the nonprofit world and its benefits, challenges, etc. Dinner is provided, and there will be a Q&A session following the panel. Hear from the following panelists:

Dr. Tony Mallon, Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Institute for Nonprofit Organizations, UGA School of Social Work
Joan Prittie, Executive Director of Project Safe and Instructor, UGA School of Social Work
Lisa Milot, Founder and Executive Director of Athenspets, LLC and Professor of Law, UGA School of Law
