About this Event
Reading, Writing, Magazine.
A literary magazine or journal is a special form of engagement due to the solitary nature of reading a poem, story, or essay that one loves and the idiosyncratic capabilities that a print periodical has for building communities on and off the stage. Drawing from his experience starting the Asian American Literary Review and running the Georgia Review, alongside readings and writings, near and far, Maa's talk will shed light on why we should read and write more literature, particularly in magazine form, and particularly in our current age.
