Narcissism Explained

In this interview, Professor Campbell will define and describe the different forms of narcisssism, including the grandiose and vulnerable forms of narcissism as well as the personality disorder. The term narcissism is used quite a bit, but this discussion is often confusing because there are different forms of narcissism. Narcissism has important trade-offs for love and work - importantly, he hopes to discuss the complex role of narcissism in creative pursuits.

W. Keith Campbell, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at the University of Georgia, is the author of more than 200 scientific papers and several books, including The Narcissism Epidemic: Living in the Age of Entitlement (with Jean Twenge) and The New Science of Narcissism. His work on narcissism has appeared in USA Today, Newsweek, and The New York Times, and he has made numerous radio and television appearances, from the Today Show to the Joe Rogan Experience. He also wrote the popular TED-Ed lesson on narcissism. He lives in Athens, Georgia, with his wife and daughters.
