TA Orientation Fall 2020
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is excited to welcome the incoming cohort of TAs to the UGA teaching community. To familiarize new TAs with relevant resources, support, and policies, the CTL hosts an annual TA Orientation (TAO) every Fall. TAO is an interdisciplinary event that is a mandatory for all graduate students whose assistantships include instructional responsibilities (e.g., running lab or discussions sections, lecturing, grading, holding office hours, proctoring etc...). Students must attend at least one time before their TAship begins.
Fall 2020 TAO is scheduled as the first ever virtual TA Orientation and will kick-off on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with a virtual welcome event and launch of online training modules (to be completed by Aug. 23). CTL staff and upper year TAs from the Future Faculty Fellows program will be available to answer questions as new TAs complete their training.
To register for the event, please complete the following survey. Detailed instructions will be sent out prior to the event.
