The Sunflower Concert Series at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia is returning this summer, offering an opportunity for the community to enjoy music in the garden. The concerts, set in the Flower Garden, offer visitors an unparalleled experience, with some of Athens’ finest musicians performing in a beautiful horticultural setting.

Tickets are $17 each, $15 for members of Friends of the Garden, $5 for children ages 4-13 and free for children under 4. Each concert includes beverages and people are encouraged to bring blankets and picnic suppers to enjoy in the garden. Concerts will be held inside the Visitor Center & Conservatory if weather necessitates.

June 7 – Timi Conley and the Wonderland Rangers, with Claire Campbell opening. Timi Conley is diverse and theatrical, with accomplishments including six CD releases and establishing the “Wild Rumpus Parade and Spectacle” in Athens, which draws in thousands to hear a wide variety of music every year. Opener Claire Campbell was one of the bandleaders from the popular and acclaimed band Hope For Agoldensummer.
