Summer Academy with the Georgia Center

Participants in this camp will investigate different fields of study of environmental sciences. They will work side-by-side with professionals in  a variety of environmental fields like herpetology, horticulture, conservation, botany, aquatic ecology and many more. Through experiential learning and talking with experts, they will gain invaluable insights into careers in these fields.

Participants will spend each day exploring the State Botanical Garden grounds and learning about the diverse ecosystems found in this part of the Georgia Piedmont. They will get our hands dirty planting native species and get wet in the Middle Oconee River with aquatic sampling.
