About this Event
This interactive, online session focusing on the mentoring and supervision of graduate students, primarily in research training contexts. The goals of the session are to develop a shared mentor/mentee understanding of what each person expects from the relationship and identify how to set up scaffolding structures to ensure ongoing alignment of expectations, including the use of individual development plans (IDPs) and mentoring compacts. This workshop draws from training offered via the Center for Improvement of Mentor Experiences in Research (CIMER) and the work of Pfund, Branchaw, and Handelsman.
Facilitators: Andrew Grundstein and Anne Shaffer
