Steps Towards Diversity, a journey of selective sites denoting African American Contributions at the University of Georgia.

Explore African American contributions at the University of Georgia through the self-guided Steps Towards Diversity site tour, featuring 10 locations across the UGA Athens campus. The Steps Towards Diversity tour can be completed in person or online through our immersive virtual experience. The in-person tour will be available from February 1 through February 29, 2024, and can be walked, driven, or biked at your leisure. Beginning February 1, the online tour will be available year-round. Each of the tour locations (both in-person and virtual) includes information about the site’s significance and a letter for this year’s word jumble puzzle. The first 100 participants to complete the tour and solve the word jumble by February 29, 2024, will receive an exclusive gift courtesy of the F&A Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Committee.
