The Statewide Tornado Warning Drill and UGA Alert test is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8, at approximately 9 a.m. The test will include a full activation of the UGA Alert emergency notification system and campus outdoor warning sirens. An "all clear" message will not be provided as part of the drill. 

All students, faculty, staff, and visitors are encouraged to acknowledge the outdoor warning sirens and other notification when activated at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8th. Whenever possible, students, faculty, staff, and visitors are encouraged to physically execute their severe weather response plan, including activation of the building notification system and assembling in the designated severe weather sheltering area(s). At a minimum, please pause to reflect on the steps that shold be taken should UGA experience an actual tornado warning. An "all clear" message will not be provided as a part of the drill. Also, it is very important that students, faculty, and staff verifcy and update their information in the UGA Alert system at https://ugaalert.uga.edu to ensure all emergency contact information including a number capable of receiving a text message is current and accurate.
