Prior to co-founding Meissa, Moore was an associate professor at Emory University and director of the Emory Children’s Center for Childhood Infections and Vaccines. He developed a genetics platform technology for generating vaccines by synthetic biology. This technology was recognized as Emory University’s innovation of the year in 2013. Meissa is currently in clinical trials with two vaccines, one against RSV and one against COVID-19.
