Soap Making 101: Beginning Cold Process Soapmaking

Soap Making 101 is a beginning-level soap making class designed to teach students to make soap by hand at home. The main focus of this class is the “cold process” soap making method. Each student makes one pound of soap to take with them. Preregistration is required; limited to 20 people.

Fees cover instruction, safety equipment (apron, gloves and glasses) and all soap-making ingredients. It does not include a mold. Participants may buy a one pound silicone square soap mold for $10, bring their own or up-cycle an appropriate vessel like a milk carton or something similar.
