Class: Seed Saving for the Backyard Gardener

Enjoy a presentation on backyard seed saving, including definitions and botanical terms to get started, the challenges and rewards of seed saving, the lifespan of common garden seeds and what conditions are best for storage. Participants also will examine pollination and fertilization techniques to promote better seed, isolation methods for home gardeners, harvesting and processing techniques, storage and germination testing, and why seed quality is important.
