About this Event
Are you or someone you know interested in developing multicultural and social justice leadership skills? If so, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion invites all graduate students to apply to the Graduate Certificate in Diversity Equity, and Inclusion program! We will host an Open House on October 28th from 12-1p.m. via Zoom for current and prospective students of the program.
This 15-hour graduate certificate includes one core course (3 hours) and four courses of electives (12 hours). In the core course, students will learn about the foundations of diversity, equity, and inclusion work across settings. Then, students will select four elective courses that teach about issues of race/ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, immigration, poverty, and other important contemporary sociocultural issues.
During our Open House, we will provide an overview of the program and discuss the application process. If you are interested in attending, we ask that you register. If you would like to pursue the certificate, please fill out this form to apply. If you know someone who might be interested, please feel free to share this information with them! For any questions, email us at coedei@uga.edu
The Mary Frances Early College of Education encourages all members of the community to participate in its programs and activities. If you would like to request accommodations for this event, please specify the accommodations you will need by October 19th.
