Nonprofit Training Series: Ten Questions

In 14 years of advising nonprofits as executive director of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Rachel Epps Spears has received many calls from panicked nonprofit executives who just received a scary letter from the IRS, the Department of Labor, a plaintiff’s attorney or a disgruntled employee. Rachel knows how nonprofits get into trouble, and she will use that knowledge to help your organization stay out of trouble.

This training is meant for nonprofit executive directors and board chairs. Executive directors are highly encouraged to bring a current or future board chair to this training.

Epps Spears serves as executive director of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, an organization that provides free legal assistance to nonprofits that serve low-income individuals and that cannot afford a lawyer. Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta matches eligible nonprofits with volunteer attorneys who can help address the organization’s legal needs. Since taking on its first client in September 2005, Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has matched more than 900 nonprofit clients with more than 3000 attorney volunteers. In this training, she will address questions to ask to identify unknown legal risks and how to address the risks.

Seating is limited. Please register.
