View map Free EventThis installment of the Department of History’s undergraduate lecture series features Dr. Kevin Jones, who presents the question, "How did oil wealth make the people of Iraq poorer?"
Professor Jones teaches courses in the history of the Middle East, and he is currently writing a book on the political functions of poetry in Iraq between the first and second world wars. He currently serves as the Director of Undergruate Studies in History, and the faculty advisor to Phi Alpha Theta, the UGA chapter of the National History Honor Society.
