https://ihe.uga.edu/Distinction characterizes the Louise McBee Lecture series, which is one of the few annual lecture series in the United States that focuses solely on higher education. Founded in 1989, the series brings external leaders in higher education to the McBee Institute and the University of Georgia to comment upon key directions and themes in higher education.
The 2026 lecture, titled "The Research University: In an Era of Declining Public Trust and Confidence," will be given by Robert J. Jones, president of the University of Washington.
Please visit the McBee Institute's website to learn more.
The event is part of the University's 2026 Spring Signature Lecture Series.
