Philip Eliasoph is an American art historian, critic, curator and professor of art history in the department of visual and performing arts at Fairfield University. In this lecture, Eliasoph will focus on identity, magic and metaphor in Paul CadmusÕ 1947 painting ÒPlayground,Ó featured in the exhibition ÒExtra Ordinary: Magic, Mystery and Imagination in American Art.Ó The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required on the museum's website.
