About this Event
View map"Aesthetic Confessions, Questioning Taste in Landscape Architecture," Katherine Melcher, CED associate professor.
Although landscape architecture theory claims aesthetics as a core defining element, there is little clarity about what it means. Melcher uses her self-professed "bad taste" in landscapes alongside a philosophical investigation of the term to clarify and question how the concept of aesthetics is used in landscape architecture.
Part of the CED Fall 2021 Lecture Series and the Spotlight on the Arts Festival.
