 co-organized by the Department of Romance Languages\, and Latin American a
 nd Caribbean Studies Institute. This conference has been awarded the State
 -of-the-Arts Conference Grants and it supported by the Interdisciplinary N
 etwork of Studies on Social Memory (RIEMS). The conference has a hybrid mo
 dality: 20 Latin American experts from diverse fields of research will att
 end face to face and virtually to explore memories of the recent traumatic
  past. These scholars are specialists in sociology\, history\, cultural st
 udies\, social psychology\, and other fields residing in Latin America\, E
 urope\, Canada\, and United States.
