About this Event
Latin American Works of Memory: Rethinking Transnational and Local Concepts and Devices is an interdisciplinary international conference co-organized by the Department of Romance Languages, and Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute. This conference has been awarded the State-of-the-Arts Conference Grants and it supported by the Interdisciplinary Network of Studies on Social Memory (RIEMS). The conference has a hybrid modality: 20 Latin American experts from diverse fields of research will attend face to face and virtually to explore memories of the recent traumatic past. These scholars are specialists in sociology, history, cultural studies, social psychology, and other fields residing in Latin America, Europe, Canada, and United States.
