A short time ago, the invasives lived together in disharmony with campus's natural areas … then everything changed when the Chew Crew attacked. Only the Chew Crew, eaters of all vegetative elements, could stop them, but when the forest needed them most, they vanished. 

A few years of COVID have passed when a Landscape Management team, led by Dr. Eric MacDonald, stumbled across the secrets of management in Driftmier, (in part) goats named the Chew Crew. Although their management potential is great, there is a lot to learn before bringing the crew back. 

Join the Historic Landscape Management team (EDES 7350) as they discover how the Chew Crew made an impact on the Driftmier Forest, where they went, and how they might return. Guests are invited to pet goats, participate in a goat scavenger hunt, explore the forest, and celebrate the end of the semester with smores in one of the campus's natural areas.
