The Department of Cellular Biology is sponsoring an invited research seminar by Dr. Julia Gouvea. Dr. Gouvea is an Associate Professor of Education and Biology at Tufts University. Her research explores a broad range of issues in the teaching and learning of biology. Emphases include investigating contextual dynamics in student reasoning about natural selection and supporting student understanding through model-based reasoning. Dr. Gouvea is a prolific scholar with 74 publications, including many interdisciplinary works.
