Please join us for a series of classes designed to help new teachers work with students with sensory impairments and complex needs! Dates and descriptions for each session are included below.

• November 12, 2024 (3:00-4:30 pm): Introduction to Learners with Complex Needs: This session will be an introduction to a variety of learners with complex needs that you may encounter in your role as a TVI. In this session, we will discuss the importance of collaboration among IEP teams to best serve these students.
• January 14, 2025 (3:00-4:30 pm): Brain-Based Visual Impairment: This session will focus on the basics of brain-based visual impairments (often known as CVI).
• March 18, 2025 (3:00-4:30 pm): Learners with Complex Needs and Literacy: In this session, we will look at a variety of literacy tools for students with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
• April 29, 2025 (3:00-4:30 pm): Learners with Complex Needs and O&M: This session will focus on the importance of O&M considerations for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
