Do you want to deepen your experience when you have a chance to travel? Do you wish you could bring the local/regional/national/international world into the classroom to engage your students? Participants will learn how to write about their own travels using travel journals and will also see a variety of examples. The facilitator will share a third grade economics unit that revolved around a teacher's trip to Otavalo, Ecuador, as well as other ideas for integrating travel experiences into the curriculum. Participants will write and collaborate on activities to use in the classroom.
