UGA Manufacturing Living Labs is hosting "I Heart UGA Manufacturing," an open house event that highlights the vital role local manufacturing plays in boosting the local, regional, state, and national economies.

This event will showcase innovative technologies shaping the future of manufacturing, with a focus on workforce skills and development. As technology advances rapidly, the central theme of this event is to underscore the importance of the human element and how to cultivate compassion in an AI-driven workplace.

The morning will start with guided tours of the University of Georgia Manufacturing Living Labs spaces, including the Innovation Factory and MODEL research labs. Price Industries will be on-site with their Mobile Showroom, offering a demonstration of their customized engineering solution for air distribution and lighting designed for hospital operating rooms. 

Following the tours, there will be a learning session focused on strengthening our workforce and economic development. The event will conclude with a keynote address titled "Leading with Compassion in Manufacturing," delivered by Tom Shoupe, retired CEO and Vice President of Honda North America.
