This transdisciplinary symposium will bring together graduate students from across UGA’s campus to share how gender and/or sexuality influence both how they conduct and experience fieldwork. Acknowledging that each person’s gender intersects with other aspects of identity including sexuality, race, class, and able-bodiedness, the symposium explores how these aspects of identity shape our experiences in different ways. The event will include interdisciplinary collaborations, interactive workshops, storytelling approaches, and creative expressions that work to reimagine how knowledge and experiences are communicated across disciplines.
