Mercedes and John Dewey travelled to Italy for the first time, visiting Rome, Florence, Lucca and the five towns of Cinque Terre on the Ligurian coast. Their trip included a hike in Cinque Terre, glorious weather and stunning views, documented in Mercedes’ beautiful photographs. The talk also will include their account of a mountain-side pesto making class from a man using his grandmother’s 100+ year old mortar and pestle.
