https://t.uga.edu/5ywThis workshop is geared for social workers in direct practice who want to deepen their understanding of social work as a human rights profession and to increase their effectiveness at promoting their clients’ human rights. This workshop will focus on social work’s cardinal ethical principles of social justice, dignity, integrity, and competence, and connect them to human rights principles of human dignity, nondiscrimination, participation, transparency, and accountability; understand the relationship between these principles and core social work values; know the history of social work as a human rights profession and learn eight methods for putting human rights into social work practice. 3.0 Continuing Education Ethics Hours credit.
