About this Event
Want to see mentees demonstrate greater independence? This session of the mentoring series will further attendees' skills in cultivating environments to help their mentees establish trust, gain confidence, and achieve goals. This interactive, online session is for all faculty who engage in undergraduate, graduate, and peer mentoring. This workshop draws from training offered via the Center for Improvement of Mentor Experiences in Research (CIMER) and the work of Pfund, Branchaw, and Handelsman. This session reflects a history of partnership of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, the Graduate School, Graduate Mentoring Academy, UGA Mentor Program, and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
Facilitators: Jeremy Daniel, assistant to the director for Strategic Initiatives, Carl Vinson Institute of Government, and Mary Carney, director of programming in Faculty Affairs
