About this Event
In reference to the Archnews message sent 11/1/2022, the Facilities Management Division’s Maintenance Project Management Department will require short-term, sequential closures of the temporary pedestrian Conex walkway under the parking lot and railroad trestle located on Baldwin Street/ Williams Street.
The closures will begin Saturday, November 12th at 7:00 am, restoring access by 6:00 pm for the night. The access will be secured again Sunday, November 13th at 7:00 am with access opening back up by 6:00 pm. The same schedule will apply to the following weekend Saturday, November 19th through Sunday, November 20th
This closure is necessary to begin enabling the demolition of the trestle.
During these intermittent time periods, pedestrians and cyclists will need to plan for alternative routes (e.g., Mitchell Street) and extended commutes.
For additional information contact Blaine Pritchett, Project Manager at 404-392-4702 or blainep@uga.edu.
