320 S Jackson Street, Athens, GA 30602

All faculty are welcome to make progress on a long-form writing project.

Attendees sign in, eat healthy snacks from Big City Bread, and at around 1:45 p.m., share a writing intention for the period, work steadily until 3:45-3:50 p.m. and then check in with each other about our progress. After that break, from 4-4:30 p.m., the session ends with a "writing sprint." Organizers welcome drop-ins, late arrivals, early departures, etc., but ask that attendees stay at least 40 minutes to minimize disruptions.

As per the NCFDD guidelines, "writing" counts as any progress made towards a long-form writing project, whether that's reading/research, making notes, outlining, drafting, revising, editing, proofing, or even taking a deep breath and signing that contract with a due date on it.
