About this Event
The College of Environment and Design (CED) hosts field trips for local tenth-graders to showcase landscape architecture and environmental design through the “Experience UGA” program - a partnership between the Clarke County School District (CCSD) and the UGA Office of Service Learning which aims to bring every PreK-12 student to UGA’s campus every year for a curricular-based field trip. Our trips are championed by the Georgia Student Landscape Architecture Association (GSLA) and the CED Center for Community Design and Preservation. CED students from all programs are invited and encouraged to volunteer.
As in previous years, the high school sophomores will rotate through 3 learning modules run by CED students – a tour of JSB and a balloon exercise in the Crit space, a hand graphics module in the Main Library, and a tour of North Campus. We’ll end with a big group pizza lunch at JSB in the Crit space and the high schoolers will board buses ~1:15pm.
