 e a broad range of designers from K-12 community to university students fo
 r their learning through exploratory and expressive making processes.\n\n1

 in-Work: Creating Spaces for Creative Practice\n\n[Speaker: JASON MATHERLE
 Y]\n\nMatherley will discuss ways he has cultivated and maintained a stron
 g artistic practice by finding creative opportunities in the “margins”
  of everyday life. Aspects will include non-traditional art spaces\, negot
 iating time with parenthood and a day job\, and what can be learned from l
 ooking literally at the edges of paintings.\n\n1:30-2:15 p.m.: When Your H
 obby Becomes Your Career: How Creative Entrepreneurship Became the America
 n Dream\n\n[Speaker: KRISTEN ASHLEY MACCARTHY]\n\nIn this talk\, MacCarthy
  will provide attendees with an overview of ins-and-outs of running a crea
 tive business and collaborating with creative people— emphasizing creati
 vity as a tool that everyone uses on a daily basis to help make better dec
 isions. MacCarthy will also take attendees through some exercises to help 
 stretch creativity muscles.\n\n2:15-3 p.m.: Group Discussions and Closing 
 Remarks\n\nPlease register for the event so that catering costs can be app
 ropriately estimated and seating plans can be accurately drawn up.\n\nIn t
 he event that public health-related travel restrictions come into effect i
 n early-to-mid-November\, the event will be delivered online via ZOOM inst
