The University of Georgia — along with other University System of Georgia (USG) institutions and the University System Office — will host activities during Ethics Awareness Week to highlight the importance of fostering an ethical culture.

As part of Ethics Awareness Week, the Office of the Provost will host a keynote lecture. Dr. Arun Rai, Regents’ Professor and the Howard S. Starks Distinguished Chair at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, will deliver a talk titled “Responsible AI for the Future of Work.”

For more than 35 years, Rai has advanced understanding of how organizations, supply chains, communities, platform ecosystems, and markets transform digitally – and how to govern these efforts to encourage experimentation, learning, and capability-building while managing risks. His work also shows how digital innovations can be designed and scaled to tackle societal challenges such as poverty, health disparities, infant mortality, digital inequality, and economic reentry for justice-involved individuals through platform work.

His current work focuses on responsible AI for the future of work — especially jobs and skills, fairness, and human–AI augmentation — linking research, education, and policy. He co-founded and directs the Robinson College’s Center for Digital Innovation, leading research and education on digital and AI solutions to create business and societal value.

Space is limited—please register to reserve a seat.
