Join the Environmental Ethics Certificate Program for the second Philosopher's Walk of the semester.

We will meet at the Broad River Management Area at 10 am. You can expect the walk to last until 12 pm. JP Schmidt of the Odum School of Ecology will lead the hike. Eugene Odum, the father of modern ecology, created a conservation easement on his property in Madison County, GA in 1977. Since then, Dr. Odum has passed away, and the land has come into the possession of the University of Georgia.

The location is the Broad River Wildlife Management Area and Google Maps directions can be found here. 

There is a main parking area on the right on HWY 281 after you cross the river coming from Athens. It is marked by a prominent sign Broad River Natural Area. It is a gravel road.
