About this Event
425 S Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA 30605
Join guests in welcoming Atlanta-based artist and writer Hannah Palmer for a seminar.
Through essays, memoir, and public art projects, Palmer explores how hidden histories and wildness shape our lives in the urban landscape. She has spearheaded many public initiatives, including the notable Finding the Flint project, which aims to rediscover and restore the Flint River headwaters in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport area.
Don’t miss the chance to hear more about Palmer’s work. Light refreshments will be provided and copies of Palmer's latest book, The Pool is Closed: Segregation, Summertime, and the Search for a Place to Swim, will be available for purchase. On-campus parking is available at the North Campus Parking Deck and the Tate Student Center Park Deck. The venue is also close to Downtown Athens, where additional parking is available.
