Bio: Dr. Michelle Ritchie is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Disaster Management at the University of Georgia, with affiliate appointments in Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Ethics, Geography, and Women’s and Gender Studies. Her research focuses on environmental change, natural hazards, and disasters with a focus on regions such as Alaska and Iceland. She uses community-engaged methods to support resilience, adaptation, and sustainability efforts.
