Ecology Seminar: Non-Academic Careers Panel

This Non-Academic Career Panel is organized by graduate students to provide an opportunity for students to learn about ecology-related career paths outside of academia: it can be challenging to find out much about these careers during graduate programs, so this annual event is one effort to improve their understanding of what other types of ecology-related careers exist, as well as what it is like to work in those jobs. The panel will consist of four panelists, in different ecology related careers to present a broad perspective of job types, and will be moderated by an OSE graduate student.

The panel is open to graduate students, undergraduates, staff, and faculty.

Panelists:
Gregory Eckert, PhD
Restoration Ecologist, National Park Service (CO)

Christi Lambert, MS
Director of Marine and Freshwater Conservation, The Nature Conservancy (GA)

Alexa Fritzsche McKay, PhD
Associate Editor, Nature Communications (NY)

Shantini Ramakrishnan, MS
