Dr. Brigitte Baptiste Visiting Scholar

Dr.Brigitte Baptiste is the director of Universidad Ean in Bogota, Colombia and an internationally renowned biologist and landscape ecologist. She is an expert on the politics of environmental management, rural landscape conservation, and complex systems ecology. Dr. Baptiste has long advocated for the LGBTQ+ community. Her scholarship, leadership, and advocacy work are rooted in her formal training as a researcher and her identity as a transgender woman. She continues to push the boundary of current thought across multiple fields.
