In this seminar, Kerri Miazgowicz will present mechanistic temperature-dependent R₀ models for the temperature suitability of malaria transmission and discuss how different ways of parameterizating these models affect estimates of temperature suitability. This work is focused on how the inclusion of more ‘realism’ into these models affects model outputs and what these alterations in temperature suitability mean for the real-world application of these biologically-based models.
