DESCRIPTION:Representatives from the Georgia Association of Water Professio
 nals and Gwinnett County will present information about a stream restorati
 on program they are currently piloting. They have been working to develop 
 a Georgia-specific curriculum that would support a state certification pro
 gram for small streambank stabilization projects carried out by homeowners
 \, landscapers\, or volunteer groups. They are visiting to discuss how col
 laboration with River Basin Center researchers might influence the scope a
 nd implementation of such a program in Georgia. The guests include John Bu
 tler of the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and Caroline Smi
 th\, director of Stormwater Engineering & Programming for the Georgia Asso
 ciation of Water Professionals.
