CVI (Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment) is a brain based visual impairment caused by damage to the visual pathways or visual processing areas of the brain. GSAP will sponsor CVI Community of Practice sessions again this year for TVIs and others who have an interest in continuing to learn about CVI. The main focus of our Study Group this year will be the new Perkins CVI Protocol, what was learned from the Perkins School for the Blind Collab, and Matt Tietjen’s new book on academic accommodations for students with CVI.  We’ll also have a couple of “What’s New in CVI?”  sessions where our hope is that participants will volunteer to share some resources they’ve found helpful in assessing or planning interventions for students with CVI.
