About this Event
A two-day online professional development course geared towards educators!
This course will provide creative curriculum compacting strategies for teachers to use in the classroom, including the virtual classroom. Curriculum compacting is a means for gifted students to learn a given amount of material in a shorter amount of time so that they may move on to more challenging material or other enrichment activities. Classroom benefits of curriculum compacting include less boredom, greater student autonomy, and learning centered around individual learning styles. With many classes now being offered both online and in-person, opportunities for curriculum compacting should also be available for students both online and in-person. Creative approaches to curriculum compacting including digital multimedia integration will also be explored.
