About this Event
110 Carlton Street, Athens, GA 30602
Tired of the same old narrative lessons and stories? Want your students to be more creative and committed? Images can add depth to narratives and enrich the writing of students as they explore incorporating images and symbolism. Technology plays a huge part in students' lives and learning, and it can allow their stories to become more interactive and multigenre.
Participants will play with crafting interactive and multi-genre narratives and create plans for bringing this approach into the classroom.
Instructor Heidy Barger hails from Great Falls, Montana. She's not quite sure how she landed in Georgia, but she's glad she did! Barger has been an 8th grade and high school ELA teacher and recently started teaching in the Jackson County School District. She is a 2016 Red Clay Fellow.
This event is part of the Red Clay Writing Project Saturday Morning Series.
